The ambitious actor (SRK) in 1970’s is murdered. But he was reborn with a new life to continue the present life. He tries hard to find his mystery girl Shanti whom he loved in his previous life and then the movie begins
The story Om Shanti Om begins with the junior artist in the Bollywood named Om Prakash (Shahrukh Khan) who was admiring actress Shantipriya (Deepika Padukone) and hope to marry her someday. Later they started dating after the accident of fire and SRK saved Deepika Padukone. Om came to know that Shanti is married to the film-producer Mukesh Mehra (Arjun Rampal) and expecting a child of him, Om got depressed but the story takes a turn with Mukesh set the studio fire where Shanti was present and in Saving her Om (Shahrukh Khan) got killed . After 30 years Om was reborn to only son of Rajesh Kapoor and he was himself an actor. He memorised all the stuff of previous life when he Met Bela his mother and he discuss about the whole past with her, how he was killed and Mukesh cheated on ShantiPriya.
